200 problems

The idea is to find some problem here that seems interesting (there is lots of choice!) and think about ways you could try to solve it — play around with the facts you have been given and relevant things you know about the world. Write any ideas in your notebook. Maybe ask me for some hints. Get started on a solution, then come back to the problem another day — a fresh look at it might give you new ideas.

Generally they are about the kind of thinking and problem solving maths should be trying to help you get good at, the syllabus puts it right in the centre of the goals. The easier ones are for primary school but they get much harder, the harder ones with plenty of stars need ideas from various levels of high school maths! (some of the star ratings are a bit crazy, there are some two star ones that are very hard, there are some three star ones that might be ok for year 6 or 7).
